What We Do

Addressing Azerbaijan's growing e-waste challenge.

E-Waste Azerbaijan tackles electronic and battery waste by setting up collection points, getting what we collect recycled, and educating people about safe disposal. Every item we collect is one less source of toxic materials in a landfill.

Responsible Disposal

Collected batteries and devices are sorted, then recycled through designated containers or FORS Group, a dedicated e-waste recycler in Baku.

Community Partnerships

A university, two schools, business centers, and local repair shops work with us to collect e-waste.

Education & Awareness

Resources explaining the risks of improper disposal and how to reduce impact.

How It Works

Three steps to reducing your electronic footprint.

Getting involved is straightforward. Whether you're an individual, a student, or a school — there's a clear path to making an impact.

STEP 01

Learn About E-Waste

Understand the environmental and health risks of improperly disposed electronics and batteries through our educational resources.

STEP 02

Locate or Organize a Collection Point

Find an existing drop-off location near you, or work with us to set one up at your school or community center.

STEP 03

Contribute to Measurable Change

Everything we collect is weighed and added to our totals, so your contribution shows up in our impact numbers.

Our Story

From one collection bin to a growing network.

It started in December 2025 with hand-built collection boxes. Here's how it has grown since.

December 2025 — The Beginning

Founded with hand-built boxes

Javad spent the first months going from place to place looking for schools and businesses willing to host a collection box, and built the first boxes by hand with his sister's help.

March 2026 — First Collections

First real collections

The first partner locations started collecting batteries and old devices, and the first loads were sorted and sent for recycling.

May–June 2026 — Expansion

New partners come on board

Brought in new partners, including the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and grew the network of collection points across Baku.

Summer 2026 — Steady Operation

Keeping the network running

Regular pick-ups from collection points and repair shops, with everything sorted and passed on for recycling.

Autumn 2026 — What's Next

Expanding further

Adding more collection points and partners, with a goal of reaching 1,000 kg collected.

School & University Bins

Collection boxes at AzTU, Azerbaijan British College, and LANDAU School, where students and staff drop off their e-waste.

Business Center Drop-Offs

Collection boxes at AGA Business Center and Caspian Business Center for people who work in and around them.

Repair Shop Collections

We reach out to electronics repair shops and collect the e-waste they build up, usually at the end of the month.

Sorting & Recycling

We sort everything we collect. Some goes into designated recycling containers, and the rest goes to FORS Group, an e-waste recycler with a processing facility in Zabrat, Baku.

Our Impact

Transparent data. Measurable results.
